This song was written by Robbie Robertson. It was from the album "The Band" released by Capitol in 1969. The song hit #25 in the U.S., in November 1969. It was the only top 30 hit for The Band.
This is a scan of the Stereo 2635 single (Made in Canada). One side has Up On Cripple Creek, and the other side has The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down. Robertson wrote both songs.
