Lay Lady Lay - Bob Dylan 1969

Lay Lady Lay was from the album Nashville Skyline (released in 1969). This song was Dylan's first top ten hit in three years. It did not really sound like the Dylan we were used to hearing. In fact, the album was nice melodies, and the sound was definitely more country.

Johnny Cash even made a guest appearance on one of the songs (Girl from The North Country).

The B-Side was a cute song called Peggy Day. Dylan was in country-crooning voice on this album. This is a scan of the Columbia 45 (Canada). Both songs were short, and written by Bob Dylan. The album has sold over a million copies.

I just found this neat Dylan site, that lists all of his albums (with nice photos). click here
